Who We Are:

Abra Coffee is an independent coffee roastery based in Miami, Florida. Our operations are managed by our co-owner, Paula Lima, a third generation coffee roaster. Paula has spent years working with her family, managing a coffee farm in Brazil.

Abra means open. We want to serve as the gateway into the world of better coffee for our customers. Beyond providing a premium product, we host tastings and educational events to connect with our clients and build a coffee community. We collaborate with like-minded entrepreneurs to develop coffee-related products, further advancing our mission.

What We Do:

Abra Coffee was founded with a singular goal in mind: to offer our customers a superb coffee experience. We believe the way to achieve this goal is by focusing on the four main stages of the life of a coffee bean:

FARMING - cultivation and processing of the coffee plant.

We seek out farmers who share our values of delivering the highest quality coffees using sustainable practices.

ROASTING - profiling, tasting, and roasting green coffee.

We recognize that farmers dedicate a lot of their time and efforts to grow outstanding coffees, our job is to honor their labor by carefully selecting the right profile to bring out the best attributes of the coffees.

HANDLING - packaging and shipping roasted coffee.

We believe freshness is one of the main contributing factors to the taste of coffee. All of our coffees are packaged and shipped within hours of roasting to ensure the best taste.

BREWING - extracting the beverage from roasted beans.

Although the brewing method will have a significant impact on taste, we don’t believe that there is a “right way” to brew your coffee. While some may prefer a “cleaner” cup, using a pour-over method with a paper filter, others may choose the fuller-bodied French press to brew their coffee.
